Since February 2023, fuel factor rates have declined by up to 19% on Providenciales, North Caicos, Middle Caicos, Grand Turk, and Salt Cay. South Caicos also recorded a similar downward trend over the past four months.
The fuel factor rate on May’s electricity bill remains generally stable with a slight 1% decrease from the prior month's $0.2149 to $0.2120 per kilowatt hour ("kWh") for Providenciales, North Caicos, and Middle Caicos customers.
Grand Turk and Salt Cay customers' fuel factor rate reflects a 0.5% increase from the prior month's $0.2106 to $0.2118 per kWh in May.
This month’s fuel factor rate for South Caicos will become available soon. It is worthy to note that the fuel factor rate for last month (April) on South Caicos decreased by 4% from the prior month’s $0.2309 to $0.2214. The latest fuel factor rate will be shared once received.
