Market fuel prices continued to move downward, and fuel factor rates on August electricity bills are trending in the same direction, recording a decrease of up to 6.83%.
This month's fuel factor rate for Providenciales, North Caicos, and Middle Caicos customers has decreased by 6.83% from the prior month's $0.1779 to $0.1658 per kilowatt hour ("kWh").
Grand Turk and Salt Cay customers' fuel factor rate also reflect a 5.9% decrease from the prior month's $0.1829 to $0.1722 per kWh.
This month's fuel factor rate for South Caicos will become available soon. It is worth noting that South Caicos fuel factor rate for last month (July) decreased by another 8% from the prior month's $0.1941 to $0.1781 per kWh.
