Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands – Friday, October 6, 2023 – FortisTCI has joined with the Ministry of Tourism to support the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s (CTO’s) State of the Tourism Industry Conference (SOTIC), as a Platinum Sponsor. The Ministry of Tourism and Experience Turks and Caicos are cohosting the prestigious event, which takes place in the Turks and Caicos Islands from October 9 to 13, 2023, with conference activities at The Shore Club and Beaches Turks and Caicos.
The conference brings together regional ministers and directors of tourism, hotel and resort leaders, investors, aviation and travel trade representatives, journalists and a host of other tourism and travel, marketing and technology experts to engage in various panel discussions on topics that include industry investment trends, regional aviation, tourism sector competitiveness and sustainable growth. The conference’s keynote introduction and presentation will focus on “Sustainable Financing for Caribbean Tourism”.
FortisTCI President and CEO Ruth Forbes will join a panel discussion on Thursday, October 12 in which tourism leaders and associated stakeholders will discuss the path towards tourism in the context of the TCI experience. Mrs. Forbes welcomed the upcoming conference as an ideal opportunity for the local tourism industry and other stakeholders to have meaningful conversations on the development of the sector, and strengthen their partnerships and collaboration.
