Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands (February 28, 2018) — Local businessman and owner of Lew 1 Shipping, Mr. Llewellyn Handfield, whose photo appears on the cover of the 2018 FortisTCI calendar, was recently presented with a framed copy of the calendar as a keepsake and in appreciation for his services to the company during last year’s hurricane recovery period.
The FortisTCI 2018 calendar commemorates the company’s record restoration after Hurricanes Irma and Maria, in which electricity was restored to the Turks and Caicos Islands within 60 days.
FortisTCI President and CEO Eddinton Powell noted that the efforts of a number of local business partners, such as Mr. Handfield, close collaboration with various government representatives and departments, and support from the community, were crucial to the restoration efforts.
Copies of the calendar are still available at all FortisTCI customer service centers.
