Providenciales, Turks & Caicos Islands (February 25th, 2010) - PPC Ltd remains committed to employee development and has further enhanced its team with the recent promotion of two staff members to Supervisory roles.
Walter Wilson, a Salt Cay native is PPC's new Lines Supervisor promoted from the position of linesman. He has nine (9) years experience as a PPC linesman and will now lead the line section within the Operations department. Walter will ensure that safety standards are practiced by all staff and will also oversee the operation and maintenance of the transmission and distribution systems. After Hurricane Ike in 2008, Walter volunteered to assist his homeland with their electrical restoration work even though Salt Cay is outside of PPC's service territory. Walter who is a fully qualified Power Line Technician completed a four year training programme with Canada's highly-acclaimed Electrical & Utilities Safety Association (E&USA).
Sharon Alli-Jose, PPC's Senior Business Analyst has been promoted to Business Performance & Compliance Officer. From her new position in the newly created Business Systems and Information Technology Division, Sharon will focus on managing enterprise risks, streamlining internal business processes, optimising business performance, and controlling costs. Sharon previously worked at one of the top-auditing firms, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, as Manager for Enterprise Risk Services. She is a certified Internal Auditor and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of the City of Manila, Philippines.
