Providenciales, Turks & Caicos Islands, April 20th, 2009 - Overnight, several areas in Grace Bay and Leeward experienced an unscheduled power interruption due to a feeder outage.
Between the hours of 12am and 2:00am, a distribution feeder experienced a power outage. Devon Cox, Operations Manager reported "The Power outage resulted from a burned cutout in the PMH Switch located on the main road in close proximity to the Tuscany Resort." PPC's crew began restoration work immediately and the feeder was repaired at 1:54am.
PPC apologises for any inconvenience caused to customers. The company is also reviewing solutions to avoid any reoccurances.
