Providenciales, Turks & Caicos Islands (Thursday, July 23rd) - Earlier today, downtown Providenciales and its immediate vicinity were affected by a power outage which was caused by an electrical short at the plant's substation.
At about 11:05am, an electrical supply to Feeder 2 was broken due to a fault on the system that caused a power outage, which affected the downtown area of Providenciales. The problem was quickly identified and work to repair the fault began immediately so that electricity supply could be restored to customers as soon as possible.
